A tragic event has happened in the last few hours at the headquarters of Los Olivos Cesar Vallejo University (UCV): a young woman died after falling from the 12th floor of the campus under unclear circumstances and are being investigated.
According to information from the National Police, the incident happened on the afternoon of Monday, January 6, when a 22-year-old girl, who was a student at the aforementioned university, died.
The agents quickly arrived at the campus, surrounded the area and were waiting for the presence of experts and the guardian prosecutor to start the respective investigations.
The young woman was part of the Alfa Program and had recently started law studies at UCV. Witnesses said they transferred a male person to take statements, but it has not yet been determined whether he is a witness or arrested in connection with the incident.
The educational entity expressed regret for the tragic event. “It is with deep regret that we report the death of a student from the Los Olivos campus, with the initials FYNE. We extend our sincerest condolences and all the necessary support to her family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.
Also, the university ordered the evacuation of students after the tragic accident that occurred on campus. The measure taken immediately, completely suspends the academic and administrative activities at the headquarters, while the relevant procedures related to the incident are managed.
