Amazon Web Services (#AWS), one of the largest cloud computing platforms, has launched a new service for its customers in the United States.
Basically, you can now visit what the company calls “data transfer terminals” to send this information
Yes, this is something we can do from our homes. So why would anyone go to an Amazon office in person?

According to the company itself, this guarantees greater security and speed in the process, preventing data loss or theft during the transfer to the cloud.
“With AWS Data Transfer Terminal, you can significantly reduce data retrieval time with high-performance connections to a location near you,” Amazon said in a post.
In this way, Amazon will guarantee that this upload process is completely safe for its users.
The process will be so secret that the company said many of its offices for this data upload will not have any AWS logos for security reasons.

The company also explained that this type of service is most useful for companies and organizations that have large amounts of data to store.
At the moment, the terminals are only available in Los Angeles and New York, something Amazon intends to change in the future.
To request service, you must contact AWS and book an appointment. The final amount will be charged based on the number of hours spent on the transfer process.
“Once the data is uploaded to AWS, you can use the broad set of AWS services to generate value from your data and accelerate innovation,” he explained.
