In its first session of the year, the Permanent Commission of Congress gave the green light to important measures to promote educational development, including the creation of two new universities in Tacna and Huánuco.
This project, which adds to the 21 universities approved last December, aims to decentralize higher education and provide more opportunities for young people in the south and center of the country.
At the same time, the Prosecutor’s Office intervened in the office of the Legal District of Congress as part of an investigation into a suspected prostitution ring.
The work, carried out with the support of the Human Trafficking Division, aims to gather evidence and evidence related to the case. Jorge Torres Saravia, former head of the Legal and Constitutional Office of Congress, is in the spotlight for his alleged involvement in this network.
