Mobile units can contribute to improving the population’s access to health and a beautiful smile. This type of vehicle adapted to provide health, cultural and leisure services offers logistical and financial advantages. This is what Athos, a national reference company in the production of removable units, will present at the 41st International Dental Congress of São Paulo (CIOSP), organized by the Association of Dental Surgeons of São Paulo (APCD), which starts this Wednesday (24 ) and continues until Saturday (27), at Expo Center Norte, in the capital.

During the event, Athos will showcase its latest projects and work to meet the demands of the sector. For example, the van equipped with a complete dental practice with x-ray, bench, autoclave and full technical space. All this is made possible by a clean energy system (photovoltaics) together with mobile technology solutions for the dental sector.
Another example of a project recently developed by Athos is the ophthalmology unit. The mobile clinic has the capacity to accommodate 12 people in the waiting room within the unit and is equipped to perform various surgical procedures.
The operating room has eight reclining chairs, as well as spaces for asepsis, medical hygiene and sterilization. These environments help to ensure that there is no contamination during the procedure and after completion, the patient goes to the recovery room.
The mobile clinics manufactured by Athos are air-conditioned. The service rooms have wall and ceiling coverings with thermal and acoustic insulation, according to the standards of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and the quality criteria of the ISO 9001 Certificate.
Mobile units offer all the convenience that a conventional clinic can have. And they go further, as with them it is possible to provide services anywhere in the city, whether in the central region, in more distant neighborhoods or even in rural areas. And in all these places the unit will be able to offer the same quality of care as a conventional clinic. This option is especially important for elderly patients, those with reduced mobility, who do not have access to adequate transportation, or who live in areas where health care services are far away.
More quality of life
For Diego Teixeira, CEO of Athos, mobile units offer a service that is able to improve people’s quality of life. “The ability to conduct health efforts to clear the queue for even simpler exams and procedures is a factor that is highly considered by the institutions and municipalities that purchase our products. Not to mention reducing bureaucracy. The units leave Athos ready to run and provide service, already adapted to the requirements of the legislation”, he emphasizes.
Athos’ proposal is to present these opportunities to the participants at the International Congress of Dentistry. More than 300 national and international exhibitors will participate in this event. “We are very motivated to participate in such an important conference for the dental segment. We are talking about an international congress and our expectation is to be able to present our innovative solutions for the segment with a total focus on mobility”, says Diego.
Other events
In addition to this Congress, this year Athos will also participate in other activities in the health sector. The company has a confirmed presence at the 54th Jornada Paulista de Radiologia, which will be held from May 2 to 5, at the Transamerica Expo Center. Next, it will be the main event in the healthcare sector in Latin America, the Hospitals Fair, between May 21 and 24, at the São Paulo Expo, for more than 60 thousand visitors.
“Through mobile units, we want to strengthen health by breaking the countless barriers that currently exist, providing early diagnosis in public and private health. The capacity, flexibility and quality that a mobile health unit offers to reduce waiting lists, expand the scope of care and improve people’s quality of life is impressive, generating a positive impact on society. This is the main objective of Athos. The future in motion”, declares Diego.
