The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Leyla Yaneli Cristobal Penadillo continues to leave a sense of anxiety in her family and in the community of Augustinian. It all started with a video showing Leyla being attacked by her partner. Roberto Palomino Romero. Now, she has been missing since December 30 and he was found dead in the police station jail. News of his death came early Saturday morning. A few hours later, around 1:30 p.m., agents of the criminal investigation department went up to San Pedro Hill, where Roberto’s house is located, looking for any clues about Leyla’s whereabouts. The scene was full of tension. Together with them were the prosecutor, members of the San Pedro police station and representatives of the Ministry of Women and Population in Need. The neighbors looked on with worried faces, feeling the uncertainty as close as Lejle’s family.

Dogs from the dog department were also brought to the scene, but there was no trace of her. Desperation grew among the relatives, who day after day still have no news.

Leyla’s latest record was captured by a security camera on December 31. In these images he is seen chasing Roberto Palomino and in the middle of the road taking a kick. Another camera showed the couple with a third man involved in an argument. No one knows what started the war.

Lejla, 27 years old, worked as an early education teacher and in her social networks she was always smiling, transmitting that light that now I miss her loved ones.

In the afternoon, crime experts returned to Roberto’s house to run the luminol test, hoping to find some clues that would lead them closer to him. But for now, her whereabouts remain a mystery and the uncertainty only grows, leaving her family hoping they will soon be able to hold her again.
