Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmer Schialer, warned this Tuesday, January 7 that the regime of Nicolas Maduro kidnapped four Peruvians, whose condition is unknown.
“They don’t give us a reason (…) They have disappeared. They were not arrested together. They are special cases but there are four (Peruvian). Up to 12 other nationalities, according to what the (Maduro) government itself has said,” Schialer told Canal N.

The official explained that the four missing Peruvians are men and go by the surnames Huamanchumo, Cubas, Malásquez and Mendizabal. Between September and October last year they were captured by the Chavista regime.
According to Schialer, these compatriots met women online and met at scattered points “inside Venezuela” and “suddenly” they were picked up by effective guards “like a military or paramilitary body.”

“They are all accused, allegedly and without evidence, of plotting against the Maduro regime,” noted Foreign Minister Schialer, who, when asked if these Peruvians had been kidnapped, replied: “I would say yes.” .
The diplomat ignored that the missing persons – between 30 and 40 years old – were “ordinary citizens”; and despite constant access through Peru’s zone of interests in Venezuela, run by the Brazilian government, information has been sought but no light.
It should be noted that Venezuela broke diplomatic relations with Peru, so information on citizens whose whereabouts are unknown in the fields has been requested through Brazil.
