Dr. Frances Bey, a dentist at the Florida Department of Health-Flagler for the past 19 years, has won the Healthy Start Coalition’s Ron Fisher Award for Flagler County.
The award recognizes outstanding public health professionals who go above and beyond their duties to support and help mothers and babies.
Dr. Bey began working with DOE-Flagler in November 2004.
“Dr. Bey has a fantastic reputation with Flagler County clients and puts even the youngest dental patients at ease with her caring, encouraging, calm and sometimes humorous, but always positive demeanor,” said Jaffy Lee, DOE Public Information Officer -Flagler.Press release.
In awarding Dr. Bey, Gabrielle Bargerstock, executive director of the Healthy Start Coalition of Flagler and Volusia Counties, said, “The difference Dr. Bey is making in the lives of the children she serves will be felt for years to come, not just through the health of themselves, but through the education she provides to her clients and their families.”
