This morning, 300 people marched in a procession to defend the future of their jobs. They are employees Grand Hotel La Sonrisa IN Sant’Antonio Abateseized and entrusted to real estate of the Municipality, for illegal subdivision of land.
The hotel, with its attached park and heliport, is popular – thanks to a television program being flashed Real time – how Castle of Ceremonies: for weddings and events that are organized in a luxurious way, there are approx 300 employees, between direct and indirect. They are all experts in the hotel sector, who have been working in this sector for decades and already see their work in danger, because the confiscation penalty provides complete breakdown of the structure or use for public service purposes.
This morning, the workers, some accompanied by their families, have headed straight the municipality, to meet the mayor Ilaria Abagnale to whom their requests were presented.
The meeting between the delegation of workers and the mayor of Sant’Antonio Abate did not clarify the uncertainties about the future of the hotel complex. But, upon leaving the Municipality, the workers said yes safe and satisfied with the insurance taken by the first citizen. They also stated that they are aware that the times do not depend on the Municipality and that therefore the relevant bodies should be waited for.
The first citizen of Sant’Antonio Abate has assured that for his part he will do everything possible “protected employment levels” explaining to the workers that at the moment even the municipal administration of Sant’Antonio Abate is not aware of the “conditions, conditions and deadlines” with which the operations of purchasing the property in the municipal heritage will take place.
The entire municipal administration is in solidarity and close with the workers: “As the mayor of Sant’Antonio Abate municipality, I repeated to the workers that the dispute regarding the recognition of their rights will be brought to all the institutional tables – said the mayor Ilaria Abagnale – We have listened to them workers and we have taken over all their requests, which will of course be reported to the relevant bodies. As has been warned in the last few days, I have personally requested a meeting with the prefect of Naples. Michele of Bari, to illustrate all the problems related to the execution of the sentence. If until now I have decided not to comment on this affair, it is only and only in the interest of women and men, who after years of sacrifices and dedication, today risk their jobs. The commitment of this administration, above all and in maximum respect of the laws, will be to try to maintain the employment levels of a very important reality for the territory of Sant’Antonio Abate”.
