José Jerí rejects the rape complaint against him and says he agrees with the investigation

Through a statement, the legislator announced that on December 29, 2024, he participated in a year-end social meeting with friends and acquaintances. At that meeting, one of the attendees reported that she had suffered an attack on her sexual freedom, an act for which she pointed the finger at Jerí and another man and for which the legislator has denied responsibility.

According to him, he accepted the complaint with surprise and regret because he did not have “any kind of participation” in the reported events. In this regard, he said that through his lawyer he has already appeared in the investigation.

“I must reiterate my absolute rejection of the accusation. Therefore, after learning about the situation, I contacted the complainant to express my solidarity and my full willingness to cooperate with the authorities to clarify what happened. “I categorically reject any act that violates people’s rights and reaffirm my firm commitment to the pursuit of justice,” he said.
