NANTICOKE – Luzerne County Community College’s Benco Dental Clinic, 38 East Main St., in downtown Nanticoke, in the Francis S. and Mary Gill Carrozza Health Sciences Center, will now offer free dental services to the community.
“We are excited to begin offering our dental hygiene services to the community,” said Karen B. Rainey, DMD, LCCC Dental Director. “We hope that by removing that financial barrier, people will visit the dental hygiene clinic regularly to take care of their dental health.”
LCCC President Thomas P. Leary said, “Our dental students provide excellent service to the community, and eliminating this fee will increase their opportunity to help more people maintain good health.”

A teaching and learning facility, treatment at Luzerne Community College’s Benco Dental Clinic is slower than in a dental office because services are carefully evaluated by the faculty.
Appointments usually last two to four hours and patients may need to return for full treatment.
