Ribeira Sacra, the scene of the 1st International Symposium of Dentistry

More than 150 professionals gathered at the 1st International Symposium of Dentistry, organized by the Galician Council of Dentists and professional associations of Galicia.

The event, which took place on October 20 and 21 in Sober, was inaugurated by the president of the Provincial Council of Lugo, the mayor of Sober and the presidents of the Colleges of Dentists of Lugo, A Coruña and Pontevedra-Ourense.

As part of the scientific program, the attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the presentations on the topic “Three-dimensional bone regeneration using cortical sheets. Essential and step-by-step aspects of the technique after more than 15 years of experience”, by Dr. Juan Alberto Fernandez Ruiz; “Emergency Profiles”, by Dr. Victor Clavijo; “Pulpectomies in primary teeth. Simplifying the technique”, by Dr. Iván Varela Aneiros; “Guided bone regeneration techniques and the importance of adequate peri-implant bone contour”, by Dr. Sergio Garcia Moreno; “Philosophy, basics and foundations of oral implantology”, by Dr. Carlos Ayala Paz; “Diagnosis and management of airway-compromising emergencies in the dental clinic. Are autologous bone grafts still useful?” onlays in Current Implantology?”, from Dr. Benito Ramos Medina; “The importance of tissue and prosthesis management in the results of current Implantology”, by Dr. AS Antonio Murillo Rodriguez; and “The Art of Endodontics”, by Dr Benjamin Martin Biedma.

On the commercial side, the presence of Galimplant and Endogal stands out, who provided scientific and technical support for the event, conveying to the attendees the latest technological developments in Implantology and Endodontics. “The Galimplant team, directed by Dr. Jesús Patohas managed to internationalize and prestige a line of implants that is currently used by many professionals in Europe and has the support of European and American universities”, they emphasized from the College of Dentists and Dentists of Lugo.
