Symphony will be heard from the new world of Dvorák and works from Patricio Wang and Jorge Cumbo
With a program that combines the Chilean poetic tradition, the melting between folk and orchestrated music and an emblematic title of the late nineteenth -century European repertoire, the USCH Orchestra will celebrate the 176 years of the University of Santiago de Kili, the heir to the School of Arts and Crafts (EAO), created in 1849.

“The anniversary concert represents a tradition in our studies home,” says USCH Rector Rodrigo Vidal Rojas. “Cultural manifestations have always occupied a central place in our history, from EAO -where the theater Aula Magna has its origin -through the State Technical State University or graphic workshop, for example -until that arrives at the University of Santiago de Kili.”

The USCH anniversary concert will be led by Rodolfo Fischer, a Chilean director founded in Switzerland, whose broad trajectory includes performances with the main Chilean orchestras and cities in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Germany and Denmark, among many other countries. Since 2020, he owns the Valdivia Chamber Orchestra.
