In November, More than 4,800 students will compete for one of the 764 places offered by Unesp (Universidade Estadual Paulista) in Araraquara. And contrary to what many people think, the Dentistry course is not the most popular, although it is among them.
The candidate/vacancy report published by the university indicates that The full-time Chemical Engineering course has the largest number of stakeholders: There are 619 candidates for 36 places, i.e. 17.2 students competing for each opportunity.
This year, over 67,400 candidates are competing for 6,600 vacancies across Unesp. The Medical Course, in Botucatu, is the most sought after in the country, with 21.6 thousand candidates for 81 vacancies.
The first phase of the entrance exam will be held on November 15. The second phase test will be administered on December 10 and 11 and the result will be declared on January 31, 2024.
At Araraquara, those applying for admission registered for courses in Public Administration, Economic Sciences, Social Sciences, Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Literature, Dentistry, Pedagogy and Chemistry, which are offered full-time, in the morning and in the evening.
OTHER COURSES IN ORDER
After Chemical Engineering, the full bachelor’s degree in Economics is the second most popular in Unesp Araraquara, with 619 candidates for 45 vacant positions.
In third place is the full course of Dentistry, with 11.1 students competing for each of the 67 available places. At the bottom of the list is a night degree in Chemistry, with 46 candidates for 27 vacancies.
