It’s possible that you’ll soon be able to buy beauty products and toys through SheIn. After clothing, shoes, accessories and a range of home products, the Chinese platform wants to enter new segments and expand its reach.
According to Reuters, SheIn is in talks with the giant Colgate-Palmolive and Hasbro. “Everyone associates SheIn with fashion, but we are investing in several verticals,” Christina Fontana, senior director of Brand Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at SheIn, said as quoted by Reuters.
This advance comes after the brand made its platform available to several brands in nine European countries. The strategy involves competing with and surpassing Amazon, which seems to be working, as SheIn averages 108 million monthly users in the European Union.
However, this rapid growth now brings complications for the brand, due to new laws passed by the European Commission within the scope of the Digital Services Act and which promise to tighten the siege on the actions of the Chinese company.
