This is an important strategic alliance of the local public education service that will allow, generate training and professional development actions for educational communities to be transferred in 2026.
Local Public Education Service (SLEP) Petorca signed a cooperation agreement with the Education Management Center (CGED) of the Executive Education Unit (UEECIVE) of the Department of Management and Information Systems (DCS) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (SHE), which will be extended to three years.
One of the central axes of this cooperation will be to strengthen the capacity of the educational teams to be carried out through different work lines, such as evaluation and surveys of diagnoses and processes, accompanying tips, training and training plans, developing activities and research of cooperative distribution.
The Executive Director of Slep Petorca, Paulina Sáez, said that “today is an important day for the territory of Petorca, because the signing of this first cooperation agreement with the University of Chile engages us in an alliance we believe in transformation and representing the virtuous union between the academic world and the public service.”
Ariel La Paz, director of the DCS, said that “signing this agreement represents an important step towards a more articulated public education. This type of strategic alliances allows the academic knowledge and technical skills of the university to serve the continuous improvement of the education system.”
“This agreement integrates systematic and cooperative actions for environmental research and links, continuing training and accompaniment in the areas of planning and strategy, information management and management control for education, SLEP management team and education teams of educational institutions,” said Daniel Riquelme, Director of CGED.
In that line, the Executive Director of the Education Service completed the idea, stressing that this agreement “allows us to strengthen the capacities, open new training spaces for our teams, and above all, the project opportunities for our educational communities, from class to territory”. He also added: “We appreciate deeply that an institution that has an excellent career and tradition such as the University of Chile, joins the service of service and value public education as a tool for territorial justice, social mobility and dignity for girls, boys and young people.”
These tools will allow management and teachers to make more informed pedagogical and administrative decisions, to focus on the learning and integral well -being of students.
In this meeting, in addition to the addresses of each institution, the Director of Executive Education, Darío Mora, participated; Cabinet Chief SLEP Petorca, Alejandro Barrento and Deputy Director of Persons Management and Development, Cristián Urrutia.
