“We believe it is our duty to help take care of our community; especially those who have sacrificed through selfless service to protect our nation,” Kibler said. “This is our opportunity to pay it forward.”

Smiles from the Heart is designed to give back to the community and serve those in need who may not be able to receive regular dental care. To be treated, patients had to be at least 18 years old and not have dental insurance. Patients were seen from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Old Trolley Dental Associates office at 600 Old Trolley Road, Suite A, in Summerville.

This year, Old Trolley Dental chose to dedicate the day in support of Fisher House of Charleston because of its commitment to giving back to the community. In addition, Kibler and Thomas served in the United States Navy. Under the management of Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center, Fisher House of Charleston is an organization designed to provide temporary housing for veterans and their families while they are receiving medical care at Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center.

Kibler, Skovira and Thomas said they are committed to the health and well-being of their patients and work to provide high-quality care in a comfortable environment.
