The prosecution investigates Wilfredo Oscorima for illegal entry of Rolex watches

The Public Ministry formalized a preliminary investigation against the regional governor of Ayacucho, Wilfredo Oscorima Núñez, Fritz Hinostroza Oscorima and Wilfredo Oscorima Loja for allegedly committing crimes of smuggling and aggravated customs waiting.

This investigation is headed by the Callao Customs Crimes Prosecutor’s Office (Office 1.ᵉʳ) and is due to the illegal entry of Rolex watches and high value jewelry that Wilfredo Oscorima N. would have delivered to President Dina Boluarte Zegarra. According to the first preliminary investigations, the two imported Rolex watches are valued at $26,215 and $20,217 respectively.

The prosecution suspects that Rolex watches and other luxury jewelry were brought into the country without paying the corresponding taxes, severely affecting the state treasury.

Also, he announced the investigation complex for the continuation of additional procedures that lead to the clarification of the facts.
