UNL offers the dental assistant course – Crónica

In order to promote the growth and creation of jobs in the field of dentistry, the National University of Loja (UNL) offers the first dental assistant course. This initiative aims to train interested persons to become qualified and efficient professionals in oral health care.

The start of the course is scheduled for October 27.

About the course

In dialogue with Diario Crónica, Ana María Granda Loaiza, professor at UNL, stated that the course will offer solid theoretical and practical training during the 900 academic hours, as students will learn the necessary skills so that they can perform effectively and confident as a dental assistant. .

The mode of the course will be face-to-face, giving participants the opportunity to interact with the teachers.

The lessons will be held in the Dentistry career premises of the National University of Loja, during the weekends (Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00, Saturdays from 8:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 8 :00. to 12:00), which will allow students to combine their studies with other responsibilities.

A distinctive feature of this course is that, during the last 3 months, students will be able to carry out private clinical practice. This will provide students with the practical experience they need to meet the challenges of the dental world of work.

Registration for this course closes this Friday, October 6; Those interested in registering must meet criteria such as being of legal age, a color copy of their ID card, a copy of their high school diploma or degree certificate, among others.
