Lima Drinking Water and Sewerage Service (Sedapal) announced that there will be water interruptions in various parts of Metropolitan Lima. Among the main reasons for service suspension are tank cleanings and broken pipe repairs. Below we will give you all the details about this situation:
Will there be an increase in the water fee? This is what Sedapal said
Sedapal spoke about the alarm issued by the National Supervision of Sanitary Services (Sunass) about the possible increase in the water rate in Lima and Callao, as well as a significant increase in other regions. During a conference led by general manager Julio César de la Rocha Corzo, Sedapal clarified that there is no plan to modify water tariffs and stressed that Sunass is the only body authorized to make these adjustments.

Julio César de la Rocha explained that the information distributed by Sunass about a possible doubling of tariffs in Lima and an increase of up to eight times in the provinces was misinterpreted and presented in a malicious way. De la Rocha indicated that Sunass’ announcement refers to a price dam that will eventually have to be adjusted, but reiterated that Sedapal has not contemplated any changes to current tariffs.
In addition, Sedapal emphasized that any rate adjustment will be designed so as not to affect people in vulnerable conditions and extreme poverty. According to de la Rocha, the increases will apply to those who consume more than 15 cubic meters of water, as defined by Sunass, ensuring that those who need it most are not affected by these changes.
What is the supply number and what is it for?
The SEDAPAL supply number is a unique code that identifies a specific user’s water connection. It serves to identify and register individually each drinking water supply service that the company provides to its customers.

The supply number is used by SEDAPAL to keep a detailed record of each user and their water consumption, which facilitates billing and service management. Additionally, it allows SEDAPAL to track consumption, keep track of payments and provide better customer service.
To set the supply number on the SEDAPAL water bill, it is necessary to review the document carefully. Generally, the supply number is usually printed prominently on the bill, along with user information and consumption details.
On most SEDAPAL invoices, the supply number is located at the top of the document, next to the account holder information. It may be named “Supply Number” or “Supply Code” and usually consists of a combination of letters and numbers that uniquely identify the customer’s water connection.
It is important to note that the exact location of the supply number may vary depending on the format and model of the SEDAPAL water bill. If it is not possible to find it easily, it is recommended to contact SEDAPAL directly through customer service channels to get the correct information.
If you do not have the current water bill or have difficulty finding the supply number, SEDAPAL offers options to carry out requests and procedures using other identification data, such as the DNI number of the account holder.
