How Prouni 2024 will work
Through Prouni, the Federal Government offers full and partial (50%) scholarships to private universities.
Registration for Prouni 2024 can be done from January 29 to February 1 on the Single Access Portal, at acessounico.mec.gov.br/prouni. Access to the system must be done through gov.br, with CPF and password.
The result of the first call will be announced on February 6. The second, on the 27th of the same month. Candidates who are not selected in them can express their interest for the waiting list from March 14 to 15.
The first step is to indicate up to two course options and indicate the university and cycle you wish to study. They should be organized by preference.
Next, it is necessary to indicate whether you will compete in the wide competition mode or through the quota system.
Finally, you should monitor the final result for the courses you have chosen every day.
The selection system will recognize as valid the last option selected in the Single Access Portal.
Anyone who remains within the limit until registration is completed will have the status of “default”. This means that the seat is reserved, but the candidate must verify the information he provided during registration. And if a class is not formed, the student will lose his place.
Who can register for Prouni 2024
Students who have taken the National Secondary School Examination (Enem) in 2022 or 2023 can compete for a place in higher education through Proun, in addition, they must have achieved a minimum average of 450 points in the entire test and a grade higher than zero in writing.
The candidate must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
- To have completed high school in a public school;
- To have completed high school in a private school with a full scholarship;
- To have completed part of high school in a public school and another in a private school, receiving a full scholarship;
- To have completed a part of high school in a public school and another part in a private, partial or no-scholarship school;
- To have completed high school in a private school with a partial scholarship or without a scholarship;
- Being a person with disabilities;
- Become a teacher in the public education system (but only for university and pedagogical courses).
Income criteria for Prouni 2024
Only students who have a gross monthly income per family member of up to one and a half minimum wages, which amounts to R$2,118 per person, can apply for a place as a full scholarship.
For partial scholarships, candidates with monthly gross monthly income per capita of three minimum salaries, which amount to R$ 4,236 per person, can apply.
